Papaya – For those who suffer from regular heartburn taking a papaya supplement on a daily basis is often as – if not more – effective than those OTC meds like Prilosec or Prevacid. Apple Cider Vinegar – People have been swearing by apple cider vinegar for rapid relief of heartburn for years. Aloe Vera Juice – Drinking Aloe Vera juice is another old heartburn remedy and one that many Europeans swear by. You can find aloe Vera juice in almost any health food store and even in a few supermarkets.
